The Honeypot Children’s Charity has announced that a local independent travel company has signed up to lend its support.

Honeypot offers respite breaks and on-going outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children aged between five and 12 years old, and has a respite house in the New Forest. The charity gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential.

Mimi Ronald from Travel Counsellors owns an independent travel consultancy, where she and her experienced team of business travel and holiday experts, take pride in providing a friendly, professional and reliable one-to-one travel service. Travel Counsellors will not only support the charity via presence at the Honeypot Children’s Charity events, but by also donating 10 per cent of commission on bookings from the collaboration.

The charity’s Regional Fundraising Manager Kate Browning said: “We are incredibly proud to develop our relationship with Travel Counsellors. Mimi and her team already provide fantastic support to Honeypot by attending our events, donating new DVDs for the Honeypot children and now with the donations coming from bookings. With no government funding, donations such as this make a huge difference to the charity.”

Mimi added: “I am absolutely delighted to be supporting the fantastic charity that is Honeypot and I am proud to be part of Travel Counsellors. My clients really appreciate the personal service we offer, giving them the best choice and the best value for their dream trip, no matter how complex the itinerary. We are always there for them whether it be in person, on the phone or via email, which is something they wouldn’t receive by booking online.”
