MORE than 130 people have today taken part in a Santa Run in aid of a Hampshire hospice.
The fun-filled event was staged on Southampton Common, which was turned into a sea of red and white by fundraisers from across Hampshire.
The first person to cross the line was Jay Saunders, 16, of Southampton, who took about 17 minutes to complete the course.
All the money raised will go to Naomi House and Jacksplace at Sutton Scotney, near Winchester.
Paul Morgan, director of fundraising at the hospice, said: "It's a family fun run which is hopefully not too challenging - just good, healthy fun."
A similar event in aid of the hospice will be held in Winchester next weekend.
