SAINTS fans travelling to see their side take on Fulham this weekend are being warned they could face travel delays.

South Western Railway has announced another round of strikes will be taking place on Saturday, leading to more than half of the firm's normal services to be slashed.

The main routes affected is between Waterloo and other areas of London, as well as trains between Reading and the capital.

SWR also advises those attending the Quilter International match between England and Australia at Twickenham to plan their travel in advance and allow extra time for journeys as services will be busier than usual.

A spokesperson from SWR said: "We have repeatedly guaranteed to roster a train guard on every single service we run. Our plans mean more guards, not fewer.

"It’s time for the RMT union to commit to resolving their dispute which only causes misery for customers.

"We will do everything we can to keep customers moving and reduce disruption whenever the RMT strikes."

There will be 12 South Western Railway trains per hour between Waterloo and Twickenham. There will be one train every hour to/from Windsor and two trains every hour to/from Reading via Ascot.

SWR is advising customers travelling to Twickenham from Reading or West of Reading to travel to Paddington (ticket acceptance is in place with Great Western Railway) and then use London Underground services to Waterloo.

The strikes are the latest in a series of industrial actions that have affected rail users over the past year.

Staff are protesting plans by the company to roll out driver only trains.

Southampton FC travel to Craven Cottage for a Premier League clash in desperate need of a win.

Saints sit just one place above the relegation zone, while their opponents - who recently appointed title-winner Claudio Ranieri as their new manager - are bottom of the league and three points from safety.

The game kicks off at 3pm.
