A MAN who stole a mental health awareness charity box has been sentenced.
Shaun David McGuinness pleaded guilty to taking the tin, which belonged to Mental Health UK in Southampton earlier this year.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard that the value within the box was unknown.
The 57-year-old was discharged conditionally for 18 months.
McGuinness, of Calmore Drive, Calmore, was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
