SAINTS stars old and new showed their support for the Saints Disabled Supporters Association yesterday.

Club legends such as Lawrie McMenemy and Francis Benali offered their support, as well as current stars Shane Long and Steven Davis among others.

The One March Open Day, which took place at St. Marys Stadium yesterday aimed to introduce fans and members of the public to activities and services the SDSA have available in the community thanks to the clubs One March Equality.

 

The event saw a whole host of names including aforementioned Francis Benali, Laurie McMenemy and other club legends Hugh Fisher, Jim Steele and Peter Rodrigues. Current club players Shane Long and Steven Davis were joined by Mario Lemina, Oriol Romeu and Jan Bednarek, as well as ladies players Shannon Sievwright, Ella Pusey, Kayla Rendell and Shelly Provan.

Activities during the day included an FA Cup trophy replica which you could have a picture with, the 1976 open-top tour bus, a Saints Foundation penalty shootout as well as a bouncy castle, face painters and a caricaturist.

There was more than 30 community groups on hand, giving fans the chance to speak and learn from about what they do.
