ORGANISERS of a Halloween dance festival have vowed to return to Southampton next year and make the event bigger and better.

Thousands of revellers turned out at the event staged in a huge tent in Mayflower Park on Saturday.

Now the company behind the festival, Elrow say they’re looking to take things to new heights next time they visit the city.

Up to 6000 partygoers enjoyed the events full 10-hour extravaganza, which included derelict haunted houses, and petrifying graveyards, alongside party zombies, fleeing priests and bewildering monsters, many of which came in fancy dress also.

The house music festival saw DJ sets from Claptone, DJ Melé and Southampton local Ronnie Spiteri among others.

A festival spokesman said: “The Horroween show on Saturday was a great success! For our first time bringing a bigger capacity outdoor daytime show to Southampton, it couldn’t really have gone much better.

“The show sold out in advance, the Haunted House stage and production was on a scale not seen before in the South of England, all the DJs smashed it.

Daily Echo:

Fisher and Melé brought boundless energy and the crowd were going wild! The sunshine even came out to party with us, which gave the show a special sun kissed atmosphere.”

When asked whether they would be bringing Elrow events back to the city again, the spokesman said: “We are exploring options on how we can continue to grow and bring an even bigger and better Elrow show to the South Coast.

“The audience in Southampton seems to have really connected with the show and we have received some brilliant feedback so far, so we would like to continue building the story in this city.”
