TWO parents who failed to make sure their child attended school have been fined more than £1,000.
The man and woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, failed to make their child attend Perins secondary school in Alresford between March 13 and March 21 this year.
Neither were at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and the case was proved in their absence.
Magistrates fined each £440 with a £44 victim surcharge and £200 costs.
The case was brought by Hampshire County Council.
