WESSEX Heartbeat has raised the curtain on the line up of its biggest fundraising show to date.

The charity is running a variety show at the newly refurbished Mayflower Theatre on February 10 next year, and this week the details of performers have been revealed.

The show will feature a line up of big name West End and TV stars, alongside performers from the local community.

Heading up the bill is Kerry Ellis, star of numerous West End musicals including Wicked.

Also topping the bill is Britain’s Got Talent star, ventriloquist Gareth Oliver, and trapeze artist Diego Circus.

Wessex Heartbeat has also drafted in a raft of top-quality local performers to entertain the audience on February 10. Among those set to tread the boards are Love Soul Choir, Parkewood School of Dance, Mayflower Youth Theatre. School children from St Mary’s Independent School, St Patrick’s Primary School and King Edward’s Sixth Form College will also dazzle those attending.

Ken Wilde, from Wessex Heartbeat, said: “Without doubt this is set to be our biggest fundraising show to date and we can’t wait for the big day. We have an incredible line up of 250 fantastic performers and, with tickets starting from just £19.50, it’s a great opportunity for local people to come and see a wide range of fantastic acts all sharing one bill.”

Michael Ockwell, chief executive of Mayflower Theatre, said: “We are very much looking forward to hosting the Wessex Heartbeat Variety Show.

“We are committed to supporting our local community through fundraising initiatives and this is a great opportunity for performers from the community to tread the boards alongside Kerry Ellis.

“The Wessex Heartbeat Variety Show aims to raise thousands of pounds to fund the charity’s life-saving work.”
