DOZENS of dedicated park-lovers were out in force - despite inclement weather.
Friends of Daisy Dip took to the Swaythling green space for their first official event.
With litter picking, sports coaching from Saints Foundation and activities for all ages there was plenty to do to help reanimate the Laburnum Road park.
Organiser Debs White said: "The area started to be a little bit unkempt. So we started a Friends of Daisy Dip group. Cantell School is involved and we have been coming down over the summer to do picnics. A survey was sent out and we had more than 250 responses with what people would like to do. We'd like to maybe start a parkrun."
The playpark at the site has also been shut - so the group are starting to raise money to replace equipment.
