POLICE have launched a witness appeal after a motorcyclist was 'seriously injured' in a crash on a Hampshire motorway.

The crash happened on the M27 eastbound between junctions 10 and 11, for Fareham, around 7.40am on Thursday, October 4.

A motorcyclist, a man in his thirties, sustained serious injuries and is being treated at Southampton General Hospital.

Police believe his motorcycle may have clipped the rear of another vehicle.

Officers say they are trying to establish the exact circumstances of the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage is requested to call 101 quoting Operation Away.
