A 'DEVASTATED' Navy veteran had three silver service medals stolen during a raid at a Hampshire home.
The three medals were taken during a burglary at a home in White Lion Walk, Gosport.
Among the honours, which belong to a retired Royal Naval Officer, was a NATO medal from the conflict with the former Yugoslavia.
Police say the raid took place between September 14 and 16.
The 71-year-old victim is said to be devastated at the loss of the medals, as he had intended to pass them onto his grandson.
All the medals feature the victim’s service number D085789T.
They are described as:
A NATO medal from the conflict with the former Yugoslavia
A Long Service and Good Conduct medal
A Meritorious medal from the Ministry of Defence.
Other items stolen include a 32” Polaroid TV, Hitachi DVD player, Barr and Stroud binoculars, cash and food and alcohol.
