STRONG winds could batter Southampton and Hampshire this weekend, experts are warning.
The Met Office say the area is likely to be hit with 'very windy spells' on Sunday and early into Monday.
The yellow warning includes a 'small chance' of injuries and danger to life from flying debris.
The Met Office is also warning of a 'slight chance' of damage to buildings, power cuts, large waves and travel disruption.
A spokesperson said: "During Sunday there is the potential for a deep area of low pressure to develop and track over the UK bringing a spell of very strong winds and heavy rain.
"At this stage developments are very uncertain but there is a small chance of disruptive winds developing with parts of England and Wales currently looking most at risk.
"Any strong winds should gradually clear eastwards early on Monday with more settled conditions looking likely to follow next week."
The yellow warning is due to be in place from 9am on Sunday, September 23, until 9am on Monday, September 24.
