AN ANDOVER pub is undergoing a six-figure refurbishment and creating three new jobs.

The Magic Roundabout, in Charlton Road, closed on Monday, September 3 to allow for the revamp work to be carried out and once reopened on Wednesday, September 19 it will be rebranded as The Folly.

The overhaul is expected to focus on a new bar area including new tiling and a modern finish, and pub-goers will also be able to benefit from an expanded viewing area to enjoy sport on multiple screens with a new sound system.

The beer garden will also be extended with additional seating and the introduction of outdoor lighting.

Sarah-Jane Grace, general manager at the Folly, Hungry Horse, said: “The Magic Roundabout has always been at the heart of the local community, and when we launch as The Folly we will provide our guests with even better surroundings to enjoy a great selection of drinks and schedule of sporting events throughout the year.

“We’re really excited to get the refurbishment underway, and look forward to welcoming our Andover neighbours to the revamped venue when it officially opens on Wednesday, September 19.

“The weekend is also set to be big, with a series of events to celebrate the opening. A launch party with a karaoke night will kick this off on Friday, September 21, where we’d like to invite everyone to come and celebrate with us!”

The popular Hungry Horse venue will also see an improved drinks range with additional cask ales being introduced to the bar, along with a range of food deals.
