HE'S the famous synthpop singer who is used to make a big appearance for his fans.
But Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon swapped stage for Sunseeker today, as he arrived at Southampton Boat Show.
Fans lined-up to meet and take photographs with the 80's hit-maker - a long-serving ambassador of The Blue Marine Foundation, which is working to stop overfishing and helping to create marine reserves.
Biologist, trained diver and wildlife TV presenter, Miranda Krestovnikoff, helped open show - which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
She attended as one of Marine Conservation Society’s leading ocean ambassadors.
Steve Backshall, an adventurer and TV wildlife expert will be appearing on the show’s stage tomorrow for Q&As about his adventures.
Lizzie Daly, a wildlife biologist, regular face on CBeebies and presenter for BBC Earth Unplugged, will be at the show on Sunday, September 23 hosting a number of interactive sessions for for families.
