AN ELDERLY woman was rescued after she slipped and banged her head and chest at No Man's Land Fort in the Solent.
A lifeboat was launched to help the woman, following a call by Solent Coastguard at around 4.45pm yesterday (September 13).
On arrival at the fort, two crew members landed to assess the woman's condition – before recommended she be taken to hospital.
Two more crews landed on the fort with a stretcher to carry the woman, from the Isle of Wight, down to the lifeboat.
She was then taken to the Isle of Wight and taken to hospital for treatment.
