Roadworks causing lengthy traffic delays in Southampton
MOTORISTS are facing lengthy delays in Southampton caused by roadworks on a busy bridge.
Traffic is tailing back up the M271 and M27 westbound, as well as westbound on Redbridge Road and Millbrook Road, due to a lane closure on the A35 at Redbridge Causeway.
Travel information service Romanse is reporting delays as long as 40 minutes on the M271 southbound, and there are also tailbacks on the M27 westbound heading to junction three.
Southampton City Council's highways team says works are being carried out on the bridge over the River Test.
