EMERGENCY services were called to help a woman in the water last night.
Police rushed to the incident near Solent Breezes holiday park in Warsash.
A spokesperson for the UK coastguard said they were called at 8.30pm
He added: "The lifeboat did get on scene but were stood down pretty quickly and the police took her into their care."
A spokesperson for Solent Breezes said the woman was not staying at the park.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "It was reported to us at 8.28pm last night that a woman was in the water off Solent Breezes in Warsash.
"Police attended and found the woman all in order, and she had not been in the water.
"The call was made to police in good faith."
