A REALITY television star favourite is heading to the city for a special bank holiday weekend show this month.

Wes Nelson, a contestant in this year’s Love Island, will be appearing at Southampton nightclub Oceana, continuing the Leisure World venue’s programme of events dedicated to the ITV2 hit show.

The 20-year-old follows in the footsteps of fellow islander Jack Fincham (pictured inset with Dani Dyer), who was at the nightclub to help A-level students celebrate their exam successes earlier in the month.

Love Island involves a group of people who must couple up together in order to try and win £50,000.

During the course of the show, contestants are forced to “re-couple”, where they then can choose to remain in their current couple or swap. Couples are then voted off until one are left standing.

Wes rose to fame on the programme, which was watched by millions across the country, after he reached the final with now-girlfriend Megan Barton Hanson.

The couple are currently living together, just days after the dating series ended.

In a series of posts on his Instagram story, Wes – who spent the day visiting his girlfriend’s home town of Southend, Essex – shared a video of Megan opening the door to her flat.

He wrote over the clip: “Moving into Meg’s gaffffaaaa.”

The reality TV star, who came fourth with his partner in last month’s live finale, then filmed himself excitedly running and jumping on to her bed.

The series, which has run sporadically since 2005, was eventually won by Jack and partner Dani Dyer, daughter of TV hard-man Danny Dyer.

Tickets to see Wes, which takes place on August 26, are priced at £3 and can be booked by contacting the venue.
