TRAINS lines going through Swaythling Railway Station have been blocked after a woman went on the tracks.
Officers are investigating the incident after concerns for the welfare of the woman who got onto the tracks earlier this morning.
Services running through the station may be delayed or revised, with disruption expected until 2pm, South Western Railway has warned.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Swaythling station at 11.40am today after concerns for the welfare of a woman on the tracks.
"Officers are on scene and the woman has been taken to a place of safety.
"Train services may still be disrupted due to this incident. Please check National Rail Enquiries for the latest travel information."
