I AM wondering if there has been a change to the flight path for aeroplanes taking off from Eastleigh airport.
Lately there has been an increase in planes apparently 'cutting the corner' from the usual flight path and over-flying Bitterne Road East. To the best of my knowledge there hasn't been any consultation on a change.
Tonight (Friday, July 27) just after 8pm a very noisy plane flew directly over Bitterne Road East either taking the 'short cut' or the pilot had been authorised by CAA to do so,
No point in ringing Eastleigh airport flight control for an explanation, as all you ever get if you do call is a recorded message advising of their opening hours – apparently no humans are on site to answer telephones.
