THOUSANDS of homes in a Hampshire town have been left without electricity.
The cut affected 2,345 people living in Romsey and the cause has not been identified yet.
A spokesman for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said the company was alerted to a power cut in the Romsey area at 9.28am today.
Although the cause has not been established yet, the spokesman for SSEN said there is no sign of damage to the electricity networks that supplies the area.
And added: "SSEN would like to apologise for any inconvenience this outage caused and thanks its customers for their patience while engineers worked to restore power to them."
All residents affected had their supplies restored by 10.45am.
