POLICE are continuing to search for a missing mother after her five-day-old baby was found by police.

Officers had launched a search for Karrina Corbin, 40, who went missing in Slough, but has links to the Eastleigh area.

An Eastleigh police spokesman said: "We can confirm we have found the missing baby safely. We're continuing to carry out enquiries to trace the mother. We've been in contact with her family and no longer need to appeal for her whereabouts."

Concerns for their welfare were sparked after Ms Corbin discharged herself from a hospital in Slough several days ago.

Karrina is described as white, 5ft 5in, slim, with long, straggly, brown hair.
