Rain failed to put a dampener on proceedings as crowds of excited children staged a giant teddy bear’s picnic to raise money for a worthy cause.
Teachers and classroom assistants from West Hill Park pre-prep school, worked tirelessly on June 25, 1997, to prepare for the biggest event on the teddy bear calendar.
The smell of ginger ted biscuits wafted around the classrooms as bears of all shapes and sizes gathered round. Smiles covered the children’s faces at the sheer delight of being allowed to bring their trusty friends to school.
