A SOUTHAMPTON teenager has denied a charge of murdering his baby son.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have killed the boy, aged around six weeks, on February 11.
The incident happened at a mother-and-baby unit on Defender Road in Southampton.
A hearing at Winchester Crown Court heard that the fatal injury was head trauma.
A date has been set for trial at Winchester Crown Court on November 13.
Judge Keith Cutler, The Recorder of Winchester, adjourned the case for another pre-trial hearing on August 24.
The youth was released on conditional bail.
