A SOUTHAMPTON pensioner was rushed to hospital after he plunged into a neighbour's garden.
Paramedics say the man, 83, fell approximately five metres into the rear garden of a property in Mount Pleasant Road.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), who attended, said the man fell from a higher ground level through a fence and into a lower ground level garden.
The pensioner landed on brick rubble and suffered a head injury.
He was rushed to University Hospital Southampton for treatment.
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance said paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 9pm last night.
The service sent a community first responder an ambulance and, due to the location of the incident, our Hazardous Area Response Team.
