ST MARY’S College held their annual sports day in the school fields in the brilliant sunshine on June 4, 1958.
J Wolfe delivered a wonderful performance and set up the only new record of the day by winning the under 14s 220 yard in 27.1 seconds.
He also won the junior championship medal by gaining most points in the under 14 events.
St George’s House won the Knights of St Columbia Cup, awarded fro the house gaining the most number of points in the competitions. They gained 143 points. St Patrick’s were second with 64 and St Michael’s third with 59.
