A SOUTHAMPTON man was stabbed multiple times during an attack in Hampshire.
Officers are appealing for information after the man sustained serious injuries on Sunday.
It followed an altercation between four men which began in a property, before spilling out onto the street.
The incident happened around 4.40am in London Road, in Portsmouth.
The victim, a 23-year-old man from Southampton, suffered what police have described as a 'number of suspected stab wounds'.
He was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
His injuries have been described as serious but not life threatening.
A 25-year-old man from Southampton and a 27-year-old man from Portsmouth have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
They are currently in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Abigail Leeson, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone who has any information.
"If you saw or heard what happened please call us as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident number 44180215622.”
