A FIRE broke out in a dental surgery in Thornhill.
Crews from St Marys and Hightown rushed to Thornhill Dental Practice, on Warburton Road at around 8.53am this morning.
The was caused by a thermostat in the surgery's compressor room, which was extinguished around 30 minutes later.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the incident was then handed over to the property's owner.
Two breathing apparatus, one dry powder and ventilation tactics were used to tackle the blaze before further damage was caused.
A spokesperson for the surgery said it was now open as normal.
