A HEDGE End school has triumphed in a major contest.
Wildern School came first at this year's Be Your Best Rock Challenge Southern Open Final B.
Eleven schools from across West Sussex, East Sussex, Dorset, Hampshire, Suffolk and Buckinghamshire competed, hoping to become Southern Open Champions for 2018.
But Wildern students beat competitors and were prized for their performance Día de los Muertos.
Be Your Best Foundation Patron, Baroness Ruth Henig, first place prize presenter said: "As ever the evening has been a brilliant collection of moving stories, told vividly. There’s so much emotion- for which Rock Challenge has now become so well known, and I love every minute of it. Every year I look forward to coming to a Rock Challenge Final!"
They were followed by Queen Elizabeth's School from Wimborne Minster in Dorset and Bourne End Academy from Burne End in Buckinghamshire.
