RESIDENTS are invited to have their say about plans to redevelop an aircraft factory site in Hamble.

As previously reported, GE Aviation could undergo a major revamp and plans have been unveiled to demolish some of the buildings and create 147 new homes on the nearby land, as well upgrade existing sports pitches.

According to the proposals, a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes could be created along with 308 parking spaces, open spaces and a new play area.

The football pitch on site could receive new changing facilities and a spectator stand while the cricket pitch could be relocated to the nearby Underdown Pavilion.

Now residents have the chance to voice their opinion on the proposal at a public consultation set to take place on April 12 and 14.

The events will take place at the GE Aviation main reception in Kings Avenue, Hamble. It will be from 3pm to 7pm on April 12 and from 9.30am to 12.30pm on April 15.
