COMMUNITY groups across the Eastleigh borough are to benefit from a major cash injection.
More than £2,000 have been granted to several groups across Hamble, Bursledon and Hound.
These include Friends of Bursledon Station and the Bursledon Lunch Club which will use the money to enable elderly and disabled adults socially isolated get out on a Wednesday and meet up at St. Pauls Church in Pilands Wood.
Long Oak Preschool at Pilands Wood Centre will also receive £475 to be used for games, posters and soap and towels while £500 will go towards to the conservation volunteers at Manor Farm Country Park to improve paths and trails in the Lower Hamble valley.
The money was granted by the Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound Local Area Committee.
