Police are investigating after a man was found dead at a house in Southampton.
Officers were called to a terraced home in Stafford Road, Shirley, and discovered the body of a man.
The circumstances surrounding his death also resulted in fire crews being called to the property but police have confirmed that no blaze occurred.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from St Mary’s and Redbridge Fire Station were called at 12.39pm to help police, but declined to give any further details.
Fire crews have now left the scene but two police cars are parked outside the house.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We were called at 12.29pm on 12 March following the discovery of a man’s body in a flat in Stafford Road, Southampton.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage."
