Work to repair a major road that links Southampton and the New Forest will now not go ahead this weekend - because it's too cold.
Hampshire County Council have been carrying out work on the Redbridge Causeway as the four concrete bridges have eroded due to their marine location.
It's in urgent need of repair if weight restrictions are to be avoided.
Now, having said it will be shut for part of this weekend, the freezing forecast has meant that the material used on the road wouldn't set.
That means that the bridge will not be closed at all through this weekend.
As previously reported, work begun in November and had been set to finish next month.
