We are appealing for information on two men who have stolen electrical equipment from a home whilst posing as doorstep sellers.

On Sunday 14 January at 11am, two men knocked on a door on Sullivan Road claiming to be selling something out of plastic bags they were carrying.

A woman in her 50s came to the door but told the men she wasn’t interested, as she did so the phone began to ring. She closed the door and left to answer the phone. However when she returned she noticed her mobile phone and iPad had gone missing and the front door was ajar.

It is believed the men took the opportunity to steal the items while the woman was distracted by the phone call.

One of the men has been described as:

• White

• Aged between 40 and 50-years-old

• Approx 5’10” inches tall

• Grey hair that was curly at the sides

• Scruffy looking

• Wearing a dark coloured beanie hat

• Large dark, green parka-style coat

• Carrying a red or similar colour carrier bag offering goods from it door to door

We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men in the Sullivan Road or surrounding areas of Sholing on Sunday morning who may have information that could help identify them.

We would also like to hear from anyone with private CCTV in the area that has captured footage which may help us.

Furthermore, have you been offered a black 32GB Apple iPad or black 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 edge since then?
