A SUSPECTED sex offender has appeared in court this week, accused of attempting to groom a child.
Richard James Moore was in Southampton Magistrates' Court on Monday, charged with one count of attempted grooming of a child and another of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
It comes after the 43-year-old, of Newport, Isle of Wight, was arrested in Portswood Road, Southampton, on Saturday, January 6.
Moore is next due to appear at Southampton Crown Court in February.
