HUNDREDS of runners put on their trainers to see in the New Year.
More than 850 budding athletes of all ages gathered at the Hawthorns Centre at Southampton Common to run a 5km course around the 365 acre site.
Some runners even took it the extra mile and ran in their onesies or dressed in a tutu.
In a statement, organisers said: "850+ of you amazing parkrunners started the new year the best possible way and joined us for our little parkrun today.
"Big thanks to race director's Kim and Rob and all their truly amazing volunteer heroes."
The free event, which runs weekly, offers an opportunity for all the local community to come together on a regular basis to get physically active through countryside running.
