THUNDERY showers are expected to cover Hampshire today.
A weather warning has been issued for Southampton for the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Met Office has said that Southampton has a yellow weather warning and thundery showers are expected to spread across the city and around Hampshire today.
According to the warning torrential downpours are also possible.
The weather warning is currently valid until 9pm this evening.
The Met Office reports says: “Thundery showers are expected to become widespread later this morning and during Saturday afternoon before easing from the southwest into the evening. Some torrential downpours are possible.
“Please be aware of the risk of surface water flooding, including local disruption to transport and outdoor activities.”
The report also suggests that Hampshire could produce around 30-50mm of rain in two to three hours.
