OTTERBOURNE Village Hall have produced a pantomime annually without fail for 37 years.

Now the curtain is set to rise tonight on their 38th panto - Dick Whittington.

They have selected a modern script of a traditional story, packed with fun for all of the family. It follows Dick Whittington on his adventurous journey from London to Morocco, but keep an eye out for his cat too - as you can never quite be sure what she'll get up to!

The performances are run by the Otterbourne Drama Group which consists entirely of volunteers, both on and off the stage. The money raised from these shows is a critical source of fund raising for the Village Hall Charity, to keep the hall in first class condition and ensure rents are kept low to attract a wide range of regular clubs for the community.

A spokesperson said: "It takes a lot of commitment from the Drama Group volunteers to produce the shows, and each year we all find that we have even more demands on our time, but we have so much fun and that is what makes these shows so successful."

Dick Whittington opens tonight and the recently refurbished hall bar will be open. More details and the online box office are available at www.otterbournevillagehall.org.uk or on our facebook page. Or call the box office on 0752 672 8781.
