EVERY wardrobe needs a clear out occasionally and the Chesil Theatre, Winchester, is no exception. The difference is the team who provide the costumes for the productions have thousands of items to go through and decide what is no longer needed.
So they are holding a sale which gives people the chance to acquire unique outfits most of which have been created by skilled tailors and dressmakers and have only been worn for a few performances.
In addition to these reproduction items including medieval and fantasy costume, there will be genuine ethnic, vintage and retro day and evening dresses from past decades on sale.
As well as the exciting and diverse clothing there will be associated accessories including some beautiful leather gloves, as well as haberdashery items.
The sale takes place at the Theatre, in Chesil Street on Saturday, with doors opening at 10am.
Prices range from 50p to £50 with cash or credit cards accepted.
