The UK’s leading folk and hip hop dance company, Breaking Tradition, bring The Lock In ‘Folk Fairy Tales’ to Theatre Royal Winchester tonight.
With live music from The Demon Barbers, winners of Best Live Act at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, this high energy celebration of dance culture brings some of the UK’s oldest forms of dance bang up to date with some of the youngest.
A group of hip hop dancers arrive at an apparently deserted pub but rumour has it that this tumble-down inn is frequented by ‘other worldly’ characters and as the regulars arrive, a clash of cultures soon turns into a dance floor stand-off.
Folk and Hip Hop unite to create a comical high energy dance extravaganza for the whole family.
