Organiser Rob da Bank said: “ It’s been quite a ride putting together the line up for 2018. Headlined by Lily Allen and one of my favourite indie bands James. Disco Day on Sunday promises to be super funky with The Jacksons bringing their disco and soul classics, and Prince’s backing band The New Power Generation coming over from the States for a one-off weekend with us. We couldn’t get Prince but we have the hits.”

Gavin Foord, from Southampton group FOOR, added: "Common People is going to be really special. We get to play across the world, which is great, but this is the main stage at the common in our  hometown. We want to make it something to remember for the people that have been with us since the start. We’ll be playing a lot of the new tracks from next week’s Friends of FooR album and might even bring a few very special surprise guests"

Meanwhile the new Carnival stage will jump to the sounds of DJ Yoda, HAAi, Kiwi, and much more on Saturday. With Fred V & Grafix, Holy Goof, Barely Legal and more on Sunday.

Rock action can be found on the Uncommon Stage hosted by The Joiners. Demob Happy, The Rising, The Collision, Deference, Pioneers and Miss Vincent will blast on Saturday. While Dream Wife, Pale Seas, Ben Goddard, Saints of Sin, Toreador, Josh Savage and Lauran Hibberd perform on Sunday.
