THIS season The Point, in association with SoCo Music Project, continues its showcase of local musicians with The Foyer Sessions; a platform for artists and bands to play live to small, intimate audiences.

The Foyer Sessions launched in autumn 2017 as a collaboration between The Point and SoCo Music Project, with both organisations recognising the need for more accessible live music in Eastleigh. Artistic Director Sacha Lee said:

‘”Our refurbished Foyer is the next cool place to be in Eastleigh! And we are delighted to be working closely with a brilliant organisation such as Soco Music to programme exciting music artists into our fabulous space. We have some excellent beer to accompany our sessions too!”

Throughout Spring at The Point local bands will plays sets in the venue’s foyer; a recently refurbished hub for smaller productions and events. As part of its live music programme the Eastleigh arts hub is running a new-for-2018 Pay What You Can scheme, giving as many people as possible the opportunity to see great live music at a price they can afford, ranging from £2.50 to £20.

This season’s lineup features solo musician and bass player Grant Sharkey, folk trio Tenderlore, country music collective The Chateau Bateau Band, and Winchester-based band Fly Away Peter and Friends.
