THEY have been thrilling audiences in Canada this week and on Friday, Bolton’s rising indie stars Jordan Allen return to Southampton.

Front man Jordan, lead guitarist Danny Quin, bassist Kieran Loughran and drummer Nathan Howard headline at Heartbreakers a week after releasing their latest single called Naked.

The cheekily named song has come hot on the heels of their last release, Synchonised, and joins other bangers like Too Much Too Soon, R.O.S.I.E and the bittersweet, but optimistic single 110 Ways to Make Things Better, which is from their 2017 EP, Livin’ La Vida Bolton.

This gig sees Jordan Allen reunite with Hope Valley teenagers Oddity Road, who they first met when both bands supported The Sherlocks in front of more than 2,000 fans at Manchester’s Albert Hall in February 2017.

The band has since headlined the This Feeling new music stage at Isle of Wight Festival and supported Britpop legends The Bluetones.

This week they were at Indie Week in Toronto where they were one of finalists for Best International Artist.

Jordan Allen were last at The Joiners in December and now complete a memorable week of new music in Southampton after other gigs by The Blinders and SHEAFS at Heartbreakers.

Talking about their latest single, songwriter Jordan said, “‘Naked’ is about how trying to change the way you live your life to suit someone else doesn't not work, however much it feels like they are the right person for you.

“If you can't be yourself with someone, they will never truly get to know you, no matter how much you enjoy each other’s company.

“Towards the end of the track the lyrics “you can't believe it, it's going cold, why can't you see that we're juxtaposed" hammer home that this isn't always something the other person will understand or handle particularly well.”

Jordan Allen headline Heartbreakers, Hanover Buildings, on Friday November 16 with support from Oddity Road. Tickets £7 at jordan-allen.com
