Enter the world of the multi-million dollar film and comic franchise Kick Ass in Kick Ass 2, a no-holds-barred beat-em-up set in New York City, three to four years after the events of the first film.

Central hero Dave, aka Kick Ass, has retired from fighting crime as his actions have inspired ordinary citizens to become real-life superheroes. However, normal life isn't really for him, so he begins training to become a proper hero with close friend Mindy, aka Hit Girl.

The game plays out in classic beat 'em up style, all presented in slick comic-like cel-shaded graphics, as you wander through the levels, dishing out justice to heavy after heavy.

A range of finishing moves and contextual kills are available, but the action never really seems to raise itself above the average Joe, despite XP upgrades and some wise-cracking banter from the two high-kicking kiddies.

Could be one for hardcore fans of the films only...
