Queen wrapped up an incredible weekend at the Isle of Wight festival to a packed main stage audience.

The band, with Adam Lambert taking the role of Freddie Mercury, rocked the main stage as the final headliners.

The stage also saw performances today from Mike and the Mechanics, a lively show from the Cribs and Ocean Colour Scheme.

Twin Atlantic also rocked the stage, delivering an uproarious gig on the same day as drummer Craig Kneale's birthday.

Guitarist Barry McKenna said: "We would love to come back to the Isle of Wight festival it's really cool and we are fortunate to be here."

In the Big Top Southampton's the Novatones started the day off which also saw the Wonder Stuff, Reef and finally Feeder headline.

The weekend has seen thousands descend on the island to see the likes of Faithless, Sterophonics and the Who perform.

Local talents including the Lounge Kittens, the Rising and Jack Francis have also had to chance to show off their stuff.

The legend David Bowie was also paid a fitting tribute on Saturday, while also raising money for Stand Up to Cancer.
