FANS will be converging on Eastleigh to salute pop A listers in what has become simply the best and biggest copycat music show on the south coast.

The Concorde Club won national recognition for PhoneyFEST -now in its seventh year - after scooping the Venue of the Year title in the National Tribute Music Awards.

Run in Oscar awards style it reflected the enormous contribution that tribute acts made to the entertainment industry in both economic and artistic value.

The Stoneham Lane club has now become the leaders in this competitive field and now it is set to serve up a Bank Holiday feast of entertainment.

The latest star studded PhoneyFEST spectacular runs over three days between May 4 and May 6 in the club grounds.

And The Concorde’s Jamie Mathieson, who has been the driving force behind the mega tribute festival, says: “We once again look forward to welcoming the cream of the tribute world to PhoneyFEST. Over 50 acts will grace the 3 stages during bank holiday weekend.”

They will be saluting a galaxy of multi-million selling recording stars including Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, country legend Dolly Parton, 90s heartthrobs Take That, Ed Sheeran, king or rock ‘n roll Elvis Presley, Little Mix, Elton John, Lady Gaga, George Michael, Status Quo, Abba, Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Spice Girls, Dusty Springfield, Whitney Houston, Queen and guitar god Erice Clapton.

PhoneyFEST has built up such a huge reputation that it attracts the business’s finest tribute acts.

Among them is Laura Jane Butler - the only Amy Winehouse tribute endorsed by the superstar soul singer’s family.

Laura has continued the rich musical legacy of the British and Grammy Award winner who died at the age of 27 and joined that tragic toll of rock stars who passed away at that remarkably young age.

Former Wham star George Michel’s death on Christmas Day at the aged of 53, shocked the pop world. Today he is still being mourned by his army of fans.

Stars in their Eyes contestant Robert Lamberti will be paying tribute to the star who sold more than 115 million records, making him one of the best selling artists of all time.

Top tribute band Badness will be mirroring the sounds of Madness, that famous ska band from Camden Town.

Music fans can also sample that stars in their eyes magic by taking part in a rock ‘n roll version of karaoke with 250 tunes on the PhoneyFEST hymn sheet.

After they have paid homage to their musical heroes, tribute fans will be able to sleep under the stars and enjoy the luxury of Glamping tents.
