AN all-star British cast lead the way in Finding Your Feet at The Point on Monday (June25), a comedy drama about a woman seeking revenge on her husband.
The night before her eagerly-anticipated retirement, ‘Lady’ Sandra Abbott (Imelda Staunton) gets more than she bargains for when she discovers her husband is having an affair with her best friend, sending her 40-year marriage into meltdown.
Unable to deal with the overarching shame in her wealthy neighbourhood, she escapes to her estranged sister’s home on a run-down council estate. A bohemian serial dater with a happy-go-lucky attitude, Sandra’s sister Bif (Celia Imrie) couldn’t be any more different.
Struggling to adjust to her older sibling’s free-spirited ways, Sandra feels like the ultimate outsider, until one day, she reluctantly joins Bif and her young-at-heart friends at a community dance class. Could the change of scenery be just what Sandra needs?
Adapted from an original screenplay by Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard, this uplifting comedy features a host of well-loved faces including Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Celia Imrie (Nanny McPhee) and Timothy Spall (Mr Turner).
