They were founded in 1947 and were part of the Bournemouth League until 1983 when they joined the Hampshire League.

Bashley Football Club became founder members of the Wessex League, winning the title for the first three years.

All eyes were on the team when in the 1987 season they rose to national prominence after reaching the semi-finals of the FA Vase.

After winning the Wessex League title three times, the team were accepted into Southern League Southern Division where, in their first year, they took that title too.

Two years later and Bashley were relegated back to the Southern Division.

In 1995 they reached the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time, winning 1-0 at Chesham and secured themselves a second round tie with Swansea. They failed to go any further after losing 1-0.

In 1999 the Southern Division was renamed the Eastern Division, and in 2004 the club moved to Division One of the Isthmian League.

After another two seasons they transferred to Division One South & West of the Southern League where they one the division where they were champions the first season.

After promotion to the Premier Division, they finish fifth, qualifying for the promotion play offs in which they were defeated by Team Bath 4-1.

In 2014 they finish bottom of the Premier Division and were relegated back into Division One.

In 2016 they finished bottom of the division after failing to win a league game all season and were consequently relegated to the Premier Division of the Wessex League.
