A LARGE warehouse unit in Segensworth formerly occupied by the wholesale group Palmer & Harvey is to undergo a significant investment and refurbishment and will be ready for occupation by a new tenant in October.

The unit at Barnes Wallis Road, Segensworth, now known as Radial 27, was vacated after Palmer & Harvey went into administration at the beginning of 2018.

The landlord is to revamp the 75,000 sq ft unit, making it suitable for use as a modern industrial and logistics unit.

Commercial property specialists at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH)_ joint agents for Radial 27 with Hellier Langston, expect high levels of interest in the property, which is available at a quoting rent of £8.50 per sq ft.

Matthew Poplett, director at Hellier Langston, commented: “This is the largest available unit in Segensworth and will provide any company with a high quality headquarters building to a modern specification.

“The additional 0.97 acre car park makes this an exciting proposition for a company with a large workforce in a strategic location halfway between Portsmouth and Southampton.”

Radial 27 was built in 1990 and comprises a self-contained, double bay distribution warehouse.

The unit provides two-storey office accommodation situated at the front of the building. Externally there is parking at both east and west entrances. The total site area is 3.97 acres. To the north is a separate car park of 0.97 acres.

P&H, one of the UK’s biggest private firms, went into administration resulting in 2,500 job losses _ more than 220 of those were at Segensworth.
